We are on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Anchor/Duty Manager to join a prestigious five-star lodge nestled within the breathtaking Kruger National Park. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in delivering exceptional guest experiences while embracing the beauty and conservation ethos of one of the world's most celebrated safari destinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised concierge and reception services to ensure guests feel truly at home.
- Host guests with warmth and professionalism, embodying the lodge’s standards of excellence.
- Oversee the management and training of staff, ensuring high service standards across all departments.
- Maintain pristine housekeeping, maintenance, and gardening to preserve the lodge’s luxury aesthetic.
- Effectively manage orders, stock control, and financial processes.
- Collaborate with departmental teams to meet guest needs and ensure smooth operations.
- Administer concierge and reception duties, maintaining accurate guest databases.
- Uphold the lodge’s conservation message, inspiring guests to connect with its purpose.
- Minimum of 4 years of hospitality experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role at a five-star hotel or lodge.
- Strong Food and Beverage knowledge, including preparation, terminology, and dietary awareness.
- Financial management skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of a second language is an advantage.
- Computer literacy and a valid driver’s licence.
- Understanding of housekeeping, maintenance, and labour laws.
- A passion for service excellence and a developmental approach to staff management.
- Patience, assertiveness, and outstanding organisational skills.
