A. Food & Beverage Cost Controller
Job description: A Fn B Cost controller keeps the cost of any assigned business/project checked with the main motif being able to minimize the deviation from the budget and ensure that it meets the approved budget. You must portray the basic traits like; planning, developing, controlling, and forecasting budgets, with a deep commitment to the bottom line without compromising quality.
Some of your major responsibilities will be, but not necessarily limited to;
ü Work in conjunction with all department heads to ensure maximum profitability
ü Provide critical assessment of all budgets and cost projections
ü Assess all incoming products, resources, and services to ensure the best price
ü Maintain vendor and service provider relationships
ü Remain acutely aware of market trends that could impact resource costs
ü Keep up to date on new vendors and possible cost-cutting partnerships
ü Analyze invoices to ensure correct products/services were received at the expected cost
ü Collaborate with department heads to strategize ways to minimize waste
ü Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the interdependency of cost drivers
ü Understand the entire arc of the business and how productivity impacts profitability
ü Commit to maximizing efficiency at all levels without compromising quality
ü Develop and implement proactive solutions and cost-cutting measures
ü Present new strategies and assessments to stakeholders in a compelling fashion
ü Educate and persuade stakeholders to procure buy-in and cooperation
ü Roll out clear cost-saving programs with timelines and assessment goals
Experience and Qualification: Must have a bachelors degree in Finance with minimum of 02 years’ experience in food and beverage industry in the similar position.
Preferences: Candidates inside Qatar, ready to join with NOC will be prioritized.
