Investments and Wealth Solutions - Insurance Platform and Solutions Team

Hang Seng's Investments and Wealth Solutions offers a full spectrum of wealth products and services to our Wealth and Personal Banking customers, from high-net-worth to mass segments across channels to capture opportunity under different market scenarios. We play a distributor role to source investment and insurance products from service providers, manage the product due diligence and onboarding, as well as client journey design and implementation. We distribute investment funds managed by top tier fund managers covering different types of funds, across regions and asset classes. A wide range of structured products with underlying linked to equities, FX rates, interest rates, investment funds, etc. are offered for investors to pursue different investment objectives. We also offer fixed income instruments and certificates of deposit to customers who look for regular coupon payment. Besides, we have securities services covering exchange traded equities in local and overseas markets offered through a wide variety of trading channels. Margin trading services covering FX and securities, and investment financing service provides extra liquidity and purchasing power to cater for investment needs from sophisticated investors.

We are seeking a high caliber to join us as Head of Insurance Platform and Solutions.

Principle responsibilities

Oversee the insurance product development, proposition, and delivery by working with Hang Seng Insurance Company Limited (“HSIC”) to ensure the right and competitive product range, customer experiences, business economics and for some insurance products, external partnerships are delivered to meet the insurance needs of our customers and grow profitable wallet share
Oversee the governance matters related to insurance product onboarding and ongoing review; collaborate with HSIC, distribution channels, 2nd line of defence and other stakeholders on the management of sales journey, process and controls to ensure robust risk controls when distributing the products in accordance to regulatory and internal requirements/ policies
Maintain governance and oversight of internal and external insurance partners from the bank’s perspective
Work with HSIC and distribution channels on product requirements and development that fulfills regulatory expectations and internal requirements and policies; timely implementation of regulatory initiatives related to insurance distribution in a commercially viable manner whilst ensuring reputational risk impact is mitigated and/or minimized

Requirements

University degree preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Insurance or related discipline
10-15 years of experience and extensive knowledge in insurance products and platforms
Solid experience and proven track record in designing and implementing policies and procedures in a matrix environment, with a client centric mindset and strong awareness in managing risk
Knowledge of corporate governance requirements for banks
Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Language proficiency in English, Cantonese and Putonghua
