Are you ready to be part of a dynamic team shaping the future of Stores Technology at Kmart Australia? We are looking for a Technical Lead to join our Stores Technology team, where we are dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of our hand-held devices, optimising inventory levels, and creating a seamless experience for both customers and staff. What you’ll be doing

Developing and implementing of Full Stack Software solutions using React, Node JS with Type Script.
Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
Driving the delivery of software through modern Dev Ops practices, emphasizing CI/CD and automation testing for optimal efficiency and reliability.
Leveraging cloud technologies, particularly AWS, to enhance system scalability and performance.
Demonstrating expertise in API development using REST, ensuring seamless integration and communication between systems.
Upholding clean code principles through the coding and unit testing of new software products.
Contributing to the maintenance of existing products and the development of new features on existing applications.
Showcasing strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges.
Playing a key role in requirements gathering and technical design, contributing to the overall success of the development process

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

Proven experience in Java Full Stack Software development using React, Prisma, Nest JS, Node JS with Type Script.
Track record of delivering software through modern Dev Ops practices, including CI/CD and automation testing.
Outstanding collaboration and communication skills.
Exposure to cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
Proficiency in API development using REST.
Coding and unit testing of new software products using clean code principles.
Experience in maintaining existing products and developing new features on existing applications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience in Nest JS, & Prisma would be great, but not essential
Active contribution to requirements gathering and technical design.
Knowledge of Java and Spring Boot are considered highly advantageous.
Experience with an RDBMS, Postgre SQL, or SQL queries is highly advantageous.
