As the Senior Data Analyst you will work as a part of a team responsible for the support, maintenance, development, and continuous improvement of SALHN’s data and analytics platform. Accountable to the Digital Health Lead, SALHN you will provide insights, advice, training, and education to key stakeholders and provide mentorship and leadership to direct reports and junior staff.
About the role:
As the Senior Data Analyst, duties for the role may involve:
- Scope, develop, test and deliver appropriate Business Intelligence Applications to support data analytics, reporting, visualisations and business analysis
- Ensure SALHN’s business priorities and data needs are achieved by undertaking complex investigations and analysis and developing and delivering expert assessments, recommendations and reports to management and staff
- Review, develop and implement processes related to data collection, sharing, utilisation, protection, cleaning, and storage
- Providing timely, accurate and informative advice to a range of parties including, but not limited to, the Executive, Managers, Clinicians and other key stakeholders
- Self-motivated, organised, demonstrated initiative and an ability to operate independently while remaining focussed on agreed objectives that may have competing priorities and meeting tight deadlines
- Demonstrated skills in analysing and interpreting data, communicating the information concisely and accurately, in either verbal or written format to accommodate the key stakeholder audience
- Tertiary qualification/s in Public Health, Information Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Technology, or related discipline
- Extensive experience in working with computer systems and applications including business intelligence, spreadsheets, word processing, databases, statistical packages, and clinical costing systems
