  • Salary $84,870.00 - $107,279.00 RN/M2C | Part time 30.4 hours P/W – 12 month contract available now.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Trials Coordinator to join our Cardiology Team!
The Department of Cardiovascular Medicine undertakes a comprehensive approach to clinical services, teaching, research and community outreach. The department has a comprehensive cardiology programme and currently undertakes research in the areas of acute coronary syndromes, heart failure, lipid lowering and anti-arrhythmic’s. The Clinic Trials Unit co-ordinates the Australian arm of international trials. The position will support ongoing and new clinical trials within the department.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Cardiology Network Director, SALHN this role is responsible for the coordination of Cardiology trials at Flinders Medical Centre and ensuring each trial is conducted in accordance with the Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and which complies with National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Ethical Statement of Ethical Conduct in Human Research. Duties for the role will include:
  • Preparation of documents for governance authorisation for the trial, including Clinical Trail Research Agreements and for ethics approval for the trial.
  • Ensuring the trials run in keeping with Good Clinical Research Practices guidelines.
  • Provide leadership to build a dynamic and innovative workplace.
  • Collaborate with other unit heads to supervise staff, and manage space and other communal resources effectively
About you:
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Post Graduate qualification in research, health counselling, epidemiology or similar
  • Completed Certificate in Good Clinical Practice & IATA Transport of Biological Samples
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with staff at all levels including external sponsor companies, clients and other agencies
