- Education/ Training: GED, At least 1 year transportation experience.
- Computer Skills: Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point) and internet knowledge at an Intermediate level. Experience in Truck mate (TMW) software preferred.
Essential Job Functions
- Review and manage fleet performance based on key performance indicators
- Coach drivers from day-one regarding job-related tasks, e.g. Departure times, workflow, and hours of service management to ensure on-time delivery, logging on and off-duty work activity that will result in adequate rest time, billable accessorials; verify/review available hours; take proactive steps aimed at the prevention of service failure; analyze service failure and address problem issues
- Manage, track, and report on the pay by performance program
- Manage drivers in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Approve and track driver time off
- Monitor drivers pay weekly to ensure accuracy of payroll
- Monitor incomplete trip sheets and secure necessary paperwork to complete billing process
- Verify freight requirements daily
- Review safety metrics with Fleet Efficiency Coordinator
