Key Duties and Responsibilities

• 
  Responsible to carry out or follow-up with project team for execution of the MEP works within allotted cost, time, productivity, quality and safety standards and in accordance with specifications and drawings.
  
• Participates in engineering, design, and construction review processes related to MEP to ensure they adhere to the standards.
  
• Shall be able to review and interpret the overall MEP specifications.
  
• Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to project scope, engineering standards and specifications.
  
• Coordinate with office staff, consultants, contractors, and other personnel as per project base line program for in time project completion.
  
• Participate in client and internal meetings about technical and cost-related aspects.
  
• Provides guidance, managerial, technical support to complete project team.
  
• Review and comment on all MEP engineering related to design for all major and minor projects.
  
• Work closely with project managers, project engineers, and procurement teams to optimize the quality of projects.
  
• Preparing and maintaining updates for periodical status reports for management updates.
  
• Prepare periodic reports for management including status of budgets, variance/change claims, schedules, disputes, up-coming activities & safety records.
  
• Ensure that the health and safety requirements are provided and that they comply with authority regulations.
  

Competencies:

• Detailed engineering and construction process knowledge in Mechanical, electrical, ELV and BMS services.
  
• Knowledge on below mentioned systems is sought:
  
• Outline knowledge of civil and architectural design.
  
• Knowledge of the overall construction processes and operating practices.
  
• Knowledge of the project planning would be an added advantage.
  
• Thorough knowledge on process involving design, selection, procurement, fabrication, installation, testing & commissioning of MEP services is required.
  
• Thorough knowledge of CAD is preferred.
  
• Interpret drawings, safety training, computer skills and communications skills in English Language (read, write and speak).
  

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree from a renowned university in the field of Mechanical engineering.
  
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the gulf over various types of projects execution.
  
• Shall be familiar with requirements and guidelines of Electrical, Water, Civil Defense, Telecom, etc., related UAE authorities.
  
• Knowledge on all international codes/standards like ASHRAE, UPC/IPC, NFPA, NEC, IEC, IEEE, NEMA, BS, etc., and other codes related to trade.
