Job Description: Joinery Draftsman (3 Years UAE Experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Joinery Drawings:
• Create detailed joinery shop drawings, technical drawings, and fabrication drawings for custom furniture, cabinetry, woodwork, and other interior elements.
• Ensure that all joinery designs meet client specifications, aesthetic requirements, and industry standards.
• Prepare cutting lists, material schedules, and other related technical documentation for production.
• Collaboration with Design and Production Teams:
• Work closely with interior designers, architects, engineers, and project managers to develop joinery solutions.
• Coordinate with the production and site teams to ensure that designs are manufacturable and in line with project timelines and quality standards.
• Review and Incorporation of Revisions:
• Implement changes and modifications to joinery drawings as per client feedback, site conditions, or design updates.
• Ensure that all drawing revisions are accurately reflected and updated in the final documentation.
• Material and Finish Specifications:
• Specify and select appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware for joinery works.
• Prepare and maintain material schedules for all joinery elements, ensuring that they meet project specifications.
• Site Surveys and Quality Control:
• Conduct site surveys to gather accurate dimensions and verify as-built conditions for joinery work.
• Assist in ensuring the correct installation of joinery components by reviewing site conditions and providing on-site support as necessary.
• Software Proficiency:
• Utilize Auto CAD, Sketch Up, and other relevant design software to prepare and modify joinery drawings.
• Ensure drawings are prepared in 2D and 3D formats as required for both client presentations and manufacturing purposes.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain organized records of all drawings, specifications, revisions, and related project documents.
• Provide progress reports and updates on drawing status to project managers and senior staff.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Joinery Draftsman, specifically in the UAE market with experience in joinery for fit-out projects (commercial, residential, retail, or hospitality).
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Auto CAD, Sketch Up, and other CAD software; familiarity with 3D modeling and rendering is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Materials & Joinery: Strong knowledge of woodwork, joinery techniques, and the types of materials used in interior construction and fit-out projects.
• Education: A degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Attention to Detail: High level of precision and attention to detail in drawings and documentation.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
• Immediate Availability: Candidates must be able to join immediately or within a short notice period.
