Drilling Engineer

Responsibilities of the Drilling Engineer:

• Lead well planning and design activities for drilling operations.
• Develop and review well designs and technical specifications in alignment with project objectives.
• Prepare well planning documentation, including Basis of Design (Bo D), well programs, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of drilling operations within the overall project scope.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the drilling phase to ensure successful execution and compliance with safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise, ensuring minimal downtime and cost-effective solutions.

Requirements:

• Strong background in well planning, well design, and Basis of Design.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in drilling engineering, with a proven track record or working in well planning roles for major operations.
• Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English.
• Prior experience in the oil and gas industry is essential; experience in international projects is a plus.

Additional Information:

• This work will start in Q1 of 2025, with a contract duration of 6 months, with possibility of extension.
