What you’ll do

• Management and operation of design, installation, upgrade and patching, migration, backup & restore and consolidation processes in MSSQL
• Design and management of DR structures of DB systems
• Tunning, hardening in both the DB and System layers and also environment components, as well as troubleshoot and fix performance issues in those layers

o Troubleshooting and reporting mysterious and critical issues
o Resolve problems in database bottleneck areas with tuning
o Controlling access permissions and privileges
o Periodic health checks in mission critical DB structures,
o Planning and implementation of database backup and restore strategies,
o To prepare high availability and disaster recovery plans and applications and to follow the process
o Monitor and tune database performance, participate in capacity planning, including processing, storage, and back-up/recovery capacity
o Ensuring that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly
o Evolve the database environment within the organization, including better information delivery mechanisms, methodologies, and architecture
o Proactive monitoring of deployed systems and HW/SW components

• Management of cloud project steps related to DB structures such as migration, consolidation, precheck, etc.
• Responsible for ensuring database backups and restores to include scheduled testing and validation

Who you are

• At least 3-6 years of experience in database environment
• Experience and background in MSSQL (Experience in My SQL, Postgre SQL and Mongo is nice to have) database concepts.
• Having management capabilities and In-depth knowledge on advanced level about all relevant db structures and environment components
• Experienced in alwasy On and logshipping
• Experience in DR structures and DR scenarios of DB systems
• Disaster Recovery technologies knowledge
• Scripting TSQL skills
• Strong analytical skills and quick decision-making, result and solution-oriented and self-motivated
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Fluency in English
