Our Corporate Compliance Department is looking for a (Senior) Compliance Officer for the KYC Quality Assurance team. You will be working in a highly diverse international environment with the opportunity to contribute to the compliance programme. You will have frequent interactions with compliance departments locally and globally. This position offers remote working opportunities for an agreed number of days per week.

The main tasks and responsibilities

• Perform quality assurance on KYC due diligence conducted by compliance teams for new and existing counterparties, with a focus on sanctions, anti-money laundering (AML), prevention of tax evasion facilitation, and reputational risk.
• Support to establish a strong compliance culture globally, ensuring alignment and compliance with Glencore’s Group requirements, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders worldwide on KYC due diligence, offering guidance and enhancements to the compliance teams.
• Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management, outlining key risks, control failures, trends, and areas for enhancement.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CAMS, CFE) is beneficial.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance best practices.
• 5+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance, KYC, AML, sanctions, or similar roles, especially in an international environment.
• Fluent in English (corporate language), any additional language is a benefit, but not essential.
• Proficient in both written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables) and experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI) for MI reports and compliance data analysis.
• Holding a Swiss work permit or passport holder of CH / EU
