The Competence Center Data & Artificial Intelligence focusses on solving complex business problems using Generative AI and Machine Learning. Your ambition is to use Generative AI to optimize our business across the insurance value chain. Current projects are Call Center Transformation, Email Automation, Underwriting Knowledge Assistants, Complex Claims Handling and many more.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate People Developer (Team lead) in Data &AI to guide our talented team of AI engineers. You will be responsible for driving our practices to build solutions and of course work hand-on on different innovative projects (e.g. our Doc AI Pipeline, AI Agents, or AI Guardrails)

Your contribution

Lead and manage a team of AI professionals, providing guidance and mentorship
Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging team members to explore new ideas and technologies
Participate or lead knowledge exchanges within the local and global AXA Gen AI Community and work with technology companies (e.g. Langchain, Google)
Analyze technical trends in the field and drive innovation.
Setup and live a new way of working with the local and global product teams (inner source)
Actively developing further Data & AI Solution (e.g. Doc AI, Gen AI)
Responsible for delivering key components for our Gen AI Initiative

Your capabilities and talents

Master or Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Math, Physics
Experience in Leading AI Engineers and Coaching
A solid understanding of Software Engineering and operating AI system in production
Experience in the principles of Gen AI (e.g. RAG, Co T, Agents) and Gen AI Frameworks (e.g. Langchain/Langsmith, Vector Stores)
2-3 years of experience in Dev Ops (Git Flow)
Proficiency in Python & in working with cloud technologies, preferably Google Cloud Platform
Collaborative, creative, product and user focused
Passionate about generating business value and drive the user adoption
Fluent in Englisch (preferably fluent in German or strong willingness to learn German)

Around 600 software and system developers work for AXA in Switzerland and are developing tomorrow's technology inhouse. To do this, we are also working in global teams and networks. Our agile product teams organize themselves and work independently where they are responsible for everything from A to Z. Our tasks include programming, integrating the latest tools and arranging hackathons.
