Intercare Tygervalley Sub-Acute Hospital (Pty) Ltd situated in Bellville, seeks an ambitious, talented, goal-driven and self-motivated individual to fulfill the role of Unit Manager. The purpose of the position is to co-ordinate all the functions and activities related to the provision, promotion and assurance of quality of patient care, excellent service to doctors, visitors and support services in a cost effective manner as well as motivating, supporting and optimising staff performance and education so that an optimum contribution is made to the successful functioning of the unit.

CRITICAL OUTPUTS

Maintain uncompromising quality nursing care
Maintain effective leadership & management of staff
Cost effective management of productivity and efficiency
Maintain legal, ethical and scientific nursing intervention
Ensure patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes
Achieve occupancy levels through relationship management with members of the professional team

REQUIREMENTS

Diploma in General Nursing / BCur Degree
Registered with SANC as a Registered Nurse
At least 3 years’ experience in a senior or shift leader role
Previous experience within a Sub-Acute environment will be advantageous
Computer literacy is essential
Excellent clinical nursing skills, ability to lead subordinates to achieve objectives, conflict management, performance orientation and teamwork
