This is a remote position for our Canadian offices and the individual will be expected to work PST/EST hours.

This is a remote position for our Canadian offices and the individual will be expected to work PST/EST hours.
Responsibilities
- Managing Operations team and assisting them with their daily questions
- Managing revisions and continuous improvement of Operations SOPs
- Reviewing and monitoring the team’s export shipments on regular basis
- Reviewing the Operations workload distribution on regular basis
- Liaising operations matters on daily basis with other departments
- Register and maintain regular status of Export Shipments in the Company’s system
- System data base management of the team including but not limited to: Shipment registrations data, organizations data, correct and regular e Docs archiving
- Monitor coordination of Shipment Operations and Documentations with overseas agents and local Canadian 3rd parties on daily basis and meet the deadlines where applicable
- Cooperate closely with 1UP global offices, overseas agents and service providers to
- Identify optimal solutions for the clients’ requirements and deliver the best possible service to the customers while protecting the integrity of 1UP business
- Manage and monitor workload of the team
- Liaising Hiring/ firing / mentoring of the operations team with HR if approved
- QC and audit of the files and timely closing of shipments.
- Ensure proper handling of shipments in accordance with the 1UP SOP
- Review, Analyze 1UP Quote & RATE Backups
- Review, Analyze and post Accounts Payable/Receivable per Shipment on a timely manner.
- Review, Analyze and post Accounts Receivable per shipment on a timely manner. Also find opportunities to maximize revenue while ensuring clients’ requirements are met
- Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned by management
- Working hours 8:30 to 17:00 PST/EST
- Matric / Grade 12
- Relevant qualification
- 5 years Freight Forwarding management experience
- 5 years Ocean and Air Export experience
- Incoterms experience
- Cargo Wise experience
- Excellent Communication skills in English and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently.
