[What the role is]
The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is Singapore’s central bank and integrated financial regulator.

As central bank, MAS promotes sustained, non-inflationary economic growth through the conduct of monetary policy and close macroeconomic surveillance and analysis. It manages Singapore’s exchange rate, official foreign reserves, and liquidity in the banking sector.

As an integrated financial supervisor, MAS fosters a sound financial services sector through its prudential oversight of all financial institutions in Singapore – banks, insurers, capital market intermediaries, financial advisors, and stock exchanges. It is also responsible for well-functioning financial markets, sound conduct, and investor education.

[What you will be working on]
You will provide:
a. Administrative support to support the Department Head and act as cover for the personal assistant to the CMG Group Head. The scope of work includes handling of meetings schedules, travel logistics, coordination of staff courtesies, etc.


b. Support to supervisory officers in a range of functions:

• Authorisation and supervision (e.g., prepare and issue of CMS licence; perform initial assessment of representative notifications submitted by CMSLs; screen corporations and individuals with World Check, FSG database, CRO, OA and foreign regulators where required);
  
• Portfolio Monitoring & Allocation (e.g., monitor and allocate new license applications to authorisation team officers based on rotational basis; prepare fortnightly pending applications report by application types for CMG Heads’ review).

• Good written and verbal communication, and effective listening skills
  
• Meticulous, with good organisational skills, and the ability to multi-task
  
• Possesses initiative and a positive attitude, and able to work independently as well as with a team
  
• Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel.
  

This is a 1-year contract role. As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
