Job Description

• Responsible for monitoring and assessing the market to identify market-making opportunities, execute trades for foreign exchange products and complete all post-trade execution processes. Oversight control of Forex Dealing Room/Treasury Operations.
• Have the requisite experience and skill to trade in US Government securities and Singapore Government securities.
• Be conversant with the implementation and operation of technology-based trading and reporting packages.
• Manage the ALM desks of the branch and oversee treasury operations at Singapore; ensure adherence to regulatory framework.
• Manage the balance sheet of the Singapore treasury while ensuring business and treasury strategies are aligned and in line with the bank’s policy.
• Manage the liquidity risk, market risk and interest rate risk through the effective use of foreign exchange and money market instruments.
• Responsible for working within regulatory, compliance and legal framework of local and head office jurisdiction both; implementing risk management systems, controls, policies and procedures for the line of business.
• Maximize returns on assigned risk capital while keeping within internal as well as regulatory limits.
• Facilitate coordination between head office treasury and the branch activities.
• Able to demonstrate ability to independently single handedly manage the treasury operations and liquidity planning keeping in diverse complexities in mind.
• Analyse key industry challenges facing global financial markets and potential scenarios shaping the future landscape of the financial market industry.
• Assess operational risk assumed by or arising from financial market activities and determine if mitigating actions need to be taken to limit financial reputational losses.
• Implementation of new Treasury Application which is being undertaken by the bank
• Monitor and assess foreign exchange markets to spot trading opportunities and formulate trading strategies.
• Monitor daily profit and loss and positions in the trading book and formulate hedging strategies to manage associated financial risks.
• Fund Management in tune with the business scenario.
• Manage Fixed Income portfolio.
• Perform managerial checks and controls on compliance with policies and procedures in place from time to time.

Work closely with Senior Management and provide views and recommendations on global economic factors/ market conditions.


Requirement

• Degree or equivalent preferably in the field of Banking/Finance/Investment
• Banking experience of a minimum of 5 years in related field.
• Good understanding of financial statements
• Sound knowledge of banking systems/processes/procedures.
• Good management skills and analytical mindset, one who can effectively analyse a situation and make decisions to address issues/problem.
• Excellent communication and inter personal skills with the ability to Interact with all levels of staff and top management
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft applications: Excel/Word/Power Point and trading platforms
