Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Electrical Estimator Engineer at VEKR Environmental Services in Dammam. The Electrical Estimator Engineer will be responsible for tasks such as electrical estimating, cost control, electrical contracting, and ensuring the efficient utilization of electricity. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in cost estimation for electrical projects in the construction industry.
Candidate must have prior experience working in Saudi Arabia, and The candidate should also have experience in dealing with local suppliers in Saudi Arabia for pricing,
as well as the ability to read and analyze electrical drawings and, if necessary, redesign electrical plans.
Furthermore, the candidate must be able to work within the organization, collaborating effectively with multiple teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical projects in the construction sector, including materials, labor, and equipment.
Read and analyze electrical drawings and technical specifications to determine project requirements accurately.
Ability to redesign or modify electrical drawings if there are changes in project scope or requirements.
Coordinate with design and engineering teams to ensure cost estimates align with project plans.
Work with local suppliers in Saudi Arabia to source competitive pricing and ensure cost estimates are aligned with budget constraints.
Evaluate and analyze quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Update cost estimates based on scope changes or technical requirements.
Provide regular cost reporting and forecasts to senior management.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project execution is within the budget and meets organizational goals.
Qualifications
Electrical Estimating and Cost Control skills
Experience in Electrical Contracting
Knowledge of Electricity and Electrical Engineering principles
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
