Concrete Finisher/Supervisor About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher/Supervisor to lead our concrete finishing crews. This hands-on leadership position requires someone who combines expert-level concrete finishing skills with strong supervisory abilities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality concrete work while effectively managing teams and project timelines.
Essential Job Functions Technical Leadership

• Execute advanced concrete finishing techniques including:
• Hand troweling and power troweling
• Decorative concrete applications
• Stamped concrete patterns
• Exposed aggregate finishes
• Control joint placement
• Surface texturing
• Ensure proper concrete placement and finishing procedures
• Monitor concrete mix designs and slump requirements
• Verify proper curing conditions and methods
• Inspect subgrade preparation and form work
• Maintain quality control throughout entire concrete placement process

Team Leadership & Supervision

• Lead and mentor crews of 5-10 concrete finishers
• Train team members in proper finishing techniques
• Coordinate with other trades on job sites
• Conduct daily safety meetings and toolbox talks
• Assign tasks based on crew member skill levels
• Monitor and evaluate team performance
• Provide on-the-job training and skill development
• Foster a safety-first culture among crew members

Project Management

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Coordinate concrete pours with ready-mix suppliers
• Schedule appropriate crew size for each pour
• Track material usage and labor hours
• Monitor weather conditions for pour scheduling
• Ensure compliance with project specifications
• Maintain daily logs of work completed
• Report project progress to management
• Handle quality control inspections

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce OSHA safety regulations
• Conduct job hazard analyses
• Ensure proper PPE usage
• Monitor site conditions for safety
• Maintain MSDS documentation
• Report safety incidents promptly
• Participate in safety audits
• Lead weekly safety meetings

Required Qualifications Experience

• 5+ years concrete finishing experience
• 2+ years supervisory experience
• Proven track record of quality concrete work
• Experience with various concrete applications:
• Flatwork
• Foundations
• Decorative concrete
• Industrial floors
• Vertical concrete
• Concrete repair

Technical Knowledge

• Expert understanding of:
• Concrete mixing ratios
• Setting time factors
• Weather effects on concrete
• Proper curing methods
• Control joint placement
• Surface preparation
• Tool and equipment operation
• ACI standards and specifications

Physical Requirements

• Able to work 8-12 hour shifts
• Stand/walk for extended periods
• Lift/carry up to 80 pounds
• Work in various weather conditions
• Perform repetitive movements
• Maintain balance on uneven surfaces
• Work at heights when required
• Handle vibrating equipment

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
