Job Description
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Weighbridge & Customer Assistant to join our team based at the Green Island transfer station and landfill in Dunedin.
On a day-to-day basis, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers entering site and the last to see them on their way.
Your key responsibilities include directing customers to the areas on site, accurate data entry at the weighbridge, general administration work, handling EFTPOS, account and cash transactions, and using an electronic cash register.
This is a customer-facing role and a very busy weighbridge. Keeping calm under pressure and the ability to multitask is crucial. The role would suit someone who is looking for regular hours on a rotational roster which includes weekends and stat days.
The weighbridge is self-sufficient with an ablution and canteen facilities attached.
Qualifications
We are looking for a customer-centric self-starter with exceptional communication skills both written and verbal and a great attitude.
