About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team in the Liver Service. The primary functions of this role are to utilise professional knowledge and skill to provide a holistic approach to nursing care that is safe, of the highest quality possible. To maintain and enhance the professional standards of nursing and contribute to further development of nursing within the service and to participate as an effective member of the wider organisation.

About the Service
The Liver service in Northland is comprised of several well respected Senior Medical Officers (Consultants), an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist and a dedicated administrator. Primarily based at Whangarei Base Hospital there are also opportunities to serve our rural sites (Bay of Islands in particular).
About you
  • New Zealand registered nurse with a current nursing practicing certificate (APC)
  • Current PDRP
  • Current full NZ driving license and ability to travel across the region
  • Ideal candidates will possess excellent clinical and administrative skills, and have a passion for patient-centered care.
Whilst not essential, candidates who have recent (within two years) clinical experience in a relevant clinical area, or are working towards a post-graduate certificate are desired.
  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
  • Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
