Position: Registered Nurse Coordinator - Residential Aged Care
Location: Nurse Maude Care Home
Permanent Full Time
As the Registered Nurse Coordinator, you will be a key member of our dedicated nursing team at Nurse Maude Care Home. You will work closely with the Service Manager and the clinical team to ensure that high-quality, nursing care is delivered to all residents. Your leadership and clinical expertise will support the team to maintain exceptional care standards while fostering a compassionate, safe, and collaborative environment for both residents and staff.

To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Eligible to work in New Zealand: residency or current work permit.
  • Current NZ Registered Nurse: Hold a current New Zealand Registered Nurse (RN) license with an active Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) and no restrictions.
  • Experience in Aged Care: A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Registered Nurse, with significant exposure to residential aged care or a similar healthcare environment.
  • Leadership & Clinical Expertise: Proven ability to lead nursing teams, with strong clinical skills in delivering high-quality, resident-cantered care. You will be confident in managing complex care situations and guiding teams through challenging clinical environments.
  • Commitment to Professional Development: A genuine interest in pursuing continuous professional development and completing the formal Professional Development and Recognition Programme (PDRP) to enhance your clinical and leadership capabilities.
  • Clinical Accountability: Demonstrate strong professional and clinical accountability, ensuring compliance with best practice guidelines and organizational standards.
  • Postgraduate Qualifications: Ideally hold a Postgraduate Diploma or Master's qualification in areas such as Older Persons Population Health, Gerontology, or Chronic Health Conditions.
  • Advanced Clinical Leadership: You are an advanced clinical leader with the ability to coach, mentor, and share your extensive knowledge with your team, helping to uplift the clinical expertise of those around you.
  • Healthcare Legislation & Accreditation Knowledge: In-depth understanding of healthcare legislation, regulations, and the accreditation process, with a keen focus on quality improvement practices.
  • Building Relationships: A passion for building meaningful, supportive relationships with staff, residents, and their families/whānau, ensuring a compassionate and person-centered care environment.
  • Continuous Improvement & Quality Systems: Strong knowledge of continuous improvement and quality systems, including practical experience with implementation and monitoring of quality improvement processes.
  • Excellent Service Delivery: A commitment to delivering excellent service to all residents and their families/whānau, always striving for exceptional care standards.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills that are both empathetic and professional, ensuring transparent, compassionate interactions with residents, families, and the wider healthcare team.
  • Time Management & Attention to Detail: Highly developed time management skills, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
