Serato is one of the world leaders in audio software for professional DJs and musicians. World renowned artists such as Fatboy Slim, Disclosure, A-Trak, Snoop Dogg, and DJ Snake love our products and perform with them on a regular basis.
Based in central Auckland, we are looking for a Product Owner who will be reporting to the Head of Product Planning and working closely with the Products, Development and UX teams. You would be responsible for the following deliverables such as:
  • Creating product specification documentation.
  • Maintaining a well defined and prioritized product backlog with clear and concise user stories.
  • Making well balanced decisions about which stories should be accepted or rejected at sprint review.
  • Regularly reporting to senior management on the state of the product and its backlog.
Collaboration and communication is key in this role as you would be expected to:
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the needs of the customer and provide a clear vision for the product
  • Be accessible and participate in projects proactively and continuously .
  • Show willingness to listen, negotiate and compromise.
  • Provide support, encouragement and recognition to the team both through words and actions.
Highly valued skills we seek in a candidate for this role:
  • Experience at DJing and music production.
  • Experience working in an agile software development environment.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to adapt to change.
  • Able to demonstrate critical thinking and empathy.
All applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand (this means having NZ citizenship, permanent residency or a current work permit) and be willing to relocate to Auckland.
