The role involves:

• Availability to work over the weekends and public holidays is a must.
• Overseeing the daily activities of the housekeeping department liaising with Housekeeping Manager, Room Attendants, Front Desk and Maintenance teams.
• Ensure all team adhere to policies and procedures relating to cleaning standards, fire, hygiene, health and safety.
• Complete room audits in line with company policy and maintain records of audit scores.
• Ensure all VIP reservations and requests are dealt with professionally and to the highest standard.
• To maintain an acceptable level of stock on hand and to place orders as efficiently as possible.
• Assist with induction of new team members and training of property/organisational processes.
• Report any health and safety issues, faults, repairs, thefts, cleaning needs and accidents to the Housekeeping Manager.
• Provide effective leadership, management, training, motivation and development of all team members.
• Conduct daily housekeeping briefings with the housekeeping team in absence of Housekeeping Manager.

A suitable candidate will have:

• Proven experience in a housekeeping supervisory role
• 2+ years hotel housekeeping experience
• Superb communication skills

Applicants must have a valid visa or be eligible to work in New Zealand.
