Fisheries Deckhand - Medium Sized Trawler

We require a number of experienced fisheries deckhands to work on our medium-sized trawler for our client NJS Fishing Ltd
The vessel's home port is Timaru .
We are seeking full-time crew for a 12-month period.
Trips are usually for 6-10 days.
Normal fisheries deckhand duties for a trawler vessel including the deployment and retrieval of the trawl net handling, storing, and unloading of the catch, and cleaning duties.
Experience of at least six months experience as a fisheries deckhand is essential.
Wire Splicing and net mending skills highly desirable.
If you have the New Zealand Advanced Deckhand Fishing ( ADH-F) Qualification or equivalent that would be a definite advantage.

Part of our assessment process will involve limited police checks for all applicants.
There is also a pre-employment and ongoing drug testing program for all of these positions.
Applicants will need to agree with their previous employers being contacted in the vetting process.
Remuneration based on experience and qualifications with a base rate of $29.15 per hour . We are happy to discuss "catch share" contract options.
