An Indirect Materials Sourcing Engineer is responsible for procuring indirect materials (e.g., auxiliary materials, machinery, services, equipment) at the quality, price, and delivery time expected by internal customers. To achieve the expected quality, price, and delivery time, it is necessary to initiate cost-reduction projects and improve supplier performance in collaboration with internal departments such as manufacturing and design, as well as external suppliers, based on Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Through these activities, you can contribute to the business by securing goods and services essential for achieving the company's strategic, financial, or social goals. What You Will Do

• Source competitively priced, quality goods and services with good delivery times in Japan or low-cost countries (LCC) based on Principled Entrepreneurship (an attitude of challenging new and better approaches and methods with an eye on current and future needs) and provide them to internal users (such as manufacturing sites and design departments).
• Explore and evaluate alternative suppliers and serve as a communication liaison between suppliers and internal departments in the event of supply shortages, process changes, or production terminations.
• Lead supplier and price decisions regarding overall company expenditure based on the analysis of purchasing patterns.
• Collaborate with global or Asia regional category managers to promote cost-reduction initiatives and the standardization and commonization of purchased goods and materials.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Over three years of experience in sourcing goods and services based on technical specifications.
• Basic knowledge of the cost and pricing of goods and services (e.g., material costs, processing costs, packaging costs, transportation costs, management costs, profit).
• Basic knowledge of drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience in prioritizing conflicting demands and coordinating stakeholders' interests.

What Will Put You Ahead

• A bachelor's degree in business administration, commerce, engineering, or humanities.
• Basic knowledge of the industry of the products and services to be purchased (e.g., chemicals for plating, machining, packaging materials, construction, contract manufacturing, HVAC, and plumbing equipment).
