Job Description
As a Senior Field Application Engineer at Infineon, you will mainly support our customers during the evaluation and deployment of our solutions into their systems. Within this role, you will get the chance to work on and challenge yourself with creative solutions as well as concepts of tomorrow and beyond by facing and supporting innovation for our customers.

In your new role you will:

• Contribute to the development of modern electronic systems and their implementation in the consumer market
• Be the first-level technical contact for our key consumer customers in EMEA with a focus on Microcontrollers, connectivity, sensing, and power management
• Work proactively on optimized solutions for our customer’s applications together with the entire European FAE/SAE Team, marketing, the Account Managers and the product experts at the headquarters and other locations
• Prepare and execute customer presentations and product/application trainings together with product marketing teams
• Support our customers in the system design and during the evaluation of our products
• Validate the application on-site together with the customer
• Discuss innovative application approaches with the customer development teams and provide feedback to our development department and concept engineering teams
• Travel in Italy and Europe , depending on customer and business needs
  

Your Profile
In addition to your excellent demonstrated technical skills and experience, we're seeking a team player with strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with people. You should be eager to learn about new developments in digital and power systems, as well as consumer markets. You should also enjoy sharing your knowledge and experience with customers and colleagues. Finally, you should be self-motivated, capable of assessing risks and opportunities, and willing to go the extra mile when needed.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• A degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or a similar field of studies
• More than 5 years of experience as a (Field) Application Engineer or Design Engineer
• Specific knowledge in home appliance and small appliance systems is a nice to have
• Ability to manage proprietary design tools/IDE to support solutions demonstration and introduction to customers. C programming experience is a plus
• Experience with layouts and PCB designs is an advantage
• Experience in working with MS Office tools
• Fluency in English and Italian (mandatory)
