Biopharmachem Ireland Executive

Ibec, the group that represents Irish business is inviting applications for an Executive within Biopharmachem Ireland. The deadline for applications is 31st December 2024.

Role Purpose

The executive will support the biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, and chemical industry, as part of Ibec’s Trade Association, Bio Pharma Chem Ireland. The role will support the Director in delivering on projects as directed by the BPCI Board and outlined in the BPCI strategy. This includes writing pharma policy positions, developing flagship events, member and stakeholder engagment, and as needs arise. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and dynamic professional to gain broad experience in a fast-paced environment.

Key Activities & Responsibilities:
Supporting delivery of Ibec’s Strategy, including in these areas:
  • Strategy delivery
  • Risk Management
  • Cross Ibec divisions networking and collaboration, including on specific projects
  • Change management
  • Governance
Support Ibec’s Bio Pharma Chem Trade Association
  • Conduct research and write pharma policy papers
  • Support and lead strategic projects for BPCI as appropriate
  • Participation in and coordination of working group meetings, including developing agenda, sourcing speakers, ensuring appropriate minutes and papers are prepared and actions implemented.
  • Deliver member services including large scale events and webinars.
Member Relations
  • Preparation of member communication and information channels.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with senior executives in member companies.

Person Specification:

Qualifications, skills and experience

Qualifications
  • Hold a primary degree in a relevant discipline, such as Science, Engineering, Policy etc..
  • Additional relevant postgraduate/professional qualifications would be an advantage
Knowledge
  • An understanding of Ibec’s service offering
  • Good grounding in strategy implementation
  • Keen interest in policy and communications
Experience
  • 3-4 years relevant experience
  • Working in a busy environment, managing demanding workloads and tight deadlines
  • Strong relationship skills, with a proven track record in managing both complex internal and external stakeholders.
  • Interfacing with senior executives in a committee and working group environment an advantage
