Maître d'hôtel (Head Waiter) – Hilton Garden Inn Athens Syggrou Avenue

We are seeking a dynamic Maître d'hôtel to lead our restaurant team in Athens and uphold Hilton’s commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate will embody and implement the brand’s high standards, enhancing our guest experience and ensuring exceptional service.

Reports to: F&B Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Warmly greet and seat guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive.

Supervise the dining room operations to maintain high service standards and an enjoyable dining experience.

Collaborate seamlessly with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.

Provide training and mentorship to staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.

Curate a sophisticated ambiance that complements the dining experience, from decor to lighting.

Oversee the planning and execution of special events, including banquets, conferences, and other hotel-hosted gatherings, ensuring every detail is executed flawlessly.

Efficiently coordinate room service orders, ensuring prompt delivery to guests.

Take orders and serve food with attentiveness and professionalism, enhancing the overall guest experience.

Develop and manage weekly staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage and service quality.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in a supervisory role within an upscale restaurant setting.

Strong understanding of food and beverage service standards, with a focus on guest satisfaction.

Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with guests and staff.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail in high-pressure environments.

Knowledge of event planning and execution, particularly for banquets and conferences.

Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the hospitality industry.

Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
