About the job
Pleione Energy is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Electrical Engineer to work on cutting-edge projects and innovative products that will shape the future of the high-growth energy storage market.
As an entry-level Electrical Engineer, you will support the engineering and development of Pleione's groundbreaking energy storage product. Your duties will encompass a various range of tasks focused on successfully bringing our first energy storage product to market by 2025. You will work specifically within the fields of renewable energy technologies and battery energy storage systems, focusing on residential applications.
Your key responsibilities will include actively participating in the design, modelling, and testing of energy storage developments and documenting the entire development process to ensure seamless knowledge transfer within the team. Other duties involve assessing user needs and market requirements to optimize the product for maximum customer satisfaction. Your innovative spirit will be challenged as you explore and investigate new product concepts tailored to household applications. As part of a collaborative team effort, you will also contribute effectively to the system integration process.
Our ideal candidate is an entry-level Electrical Engineer who may not have gained prior experience but possesses a solid theoretical background in electrical engineering and electronics, and an unwavering desire to learn and innovate. This is a full-time position based in Athens, Greece.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Participate actively in supporting the design, modeling, and testing of Pleione's first Energy Storage product, and contribute to bringing our current MVP to production.
  • Assist in preparing detailed technical documentation and reports for the product, as well as for the entire development process, to ensure seamless knowledge transfer within the team.
  • Collaborate with the team to conduct assessments of user needs and market requirements, gaining valuable experience in optimizing the product for maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Explore and investigate new product concepts tailored to residential applications, contributing fresh ideas and insights as part of the innovative team.
  • Work closely with experienced engineers to contribute effectively to the system integration process, gaining hands-on experience in this critical aspect of product development.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • A Dipl.-Ing. or MSc degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation or another Engineering discipline is required, with up to 5 years of relevant working experience.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of electrical engineering principles and concepts, along with an excellent ability to read electrical schematics, interpret datasheets for components, and comprehend wiring diagrams.
  • Possess a creative mindset and a passion for tackling complex challenges.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Driven by the desire to create something meaningful and make a positive impact.
PLUSES
  • Familiarity with Renewable Energy Technologies and Battery Energy Storage Systems.
  • Knowledge of power electronics, converter topologies, and embedded hardware components.
  • Hands-on experience in wiring and testing of electrical and electronic components.
