Kraken Robotics is currently recruiting for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Rostock, Germany office.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer with focus on hardware development for batteries and charging systems, you will be working in a dynamic team environment and be interested in contributing to the direction of future Kraken products. The location is in our office in Rostock, Germany.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and design of a modular battery system for subsea batteries

• Integration and adaption of a BMS in the modular battery concept / 24V – 500V; up to 25k Wh
• Close cooperation with the firmware development and mechanics departments
• Creation of concepts for the construction of modular systems with up to 1MWh
• Creation of test setups, planning and execution of tests for product qualification
• Documentation, cooperation in the approval / qualification of battery hardware

Develop and design of charging systems

• Creating concepts for the construction and design of battery charging systems
• Creating circuit diagrams and documents for batteries and battery systems
• Documentation, cooperation in the approval / qualification of battery and system hardware

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• University Degree in the field of electrical engineering
• Basic knowledge of batteries and battery management systems
• Power electronics and circuit development
• Experience in creating electrical/technical documentation

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Excellent communication skills in German (C1) and English (min. B2)
• Self-driven and strong organizational skills to work on multiple projects alongside all of Kraken global offices
• Flexibility, team spirit and willingness to take responsibility
• Ideally proficient in Office 365, including Teams and Share Point
