About you and this role

We are looking for a talented Project Engineer to join our Engineering team in Stade, Germany.

As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the overall planning and organization of project execution. You will lead the engineering team through the design phase and ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

Oversee all project engineering activities from initial concept through contract execution, construction, and start-up, including cost estimating, staff scheduling, and cost tracking.
Drive project execution and coach teams on the application of the Global Project Methodology (GPM) work process.
Develop staffing plans and lead project execution planning, including contracting strategy development.
Analyze project risks and develop mitigation plans.
Initiate, monitor, and update project schedules, estimates, costs, and progress.
Identify and implement corrective actions to ensure project goals for cycle-time, cost, and quality are met.

Qualifications

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
At least 5 years of industry experience in project execution.
Knowledge of typical equipment for chemical plants and project execution.
Experience in change management.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Fluency in both German and English.
