We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer who’ll be responsible for driving innovations and product development for professional lighting luminaires includes Sports lighting, Road lighting, Flood lighting, Industry lighting, Office lighting, Retail & Hotel lighting.

You’ll be part of the Signify Greater China Professional R&D department and its responsibility is to deliver high value products with differentiators to customers and satisfy the customers, so openness and conscientiousness must be in your DNA.

What you’ll do

• Close teamwork with marketing to drive innovations, deliver values and lead the lighting industry.

• Product architecture and concept study for new product development

• Mechanical design for new products in line with requested function, performance, quality, manufacturing capacity, project plan and product cost target.

• Design verification through tolerance analysis, mechanical strength simulation, mockup sample test, production, and validation test.

• Continuous improvement and maintenance on quality and cost for mass production products.

What you’ll need

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or comparable education background.

• Strong skills with mechanical design and strength simulation software.

• Good knowledge of material properties and process such as die-casting, plastic injection, sheet metal and extrusion.

• Deep experience and capability in product development with good communication and cross-functional teamwork.

• Good English speaking, reading and writing.

• Be familiar with the DFSS（design for six sigma） development process is preferred.
