About the role - you will:

• The China Cloud Architect and Technology Evangelist plays a crucial role in advocating for our company’s technology solutions. This position focuses on raising awareness, building credibility, and driving adoption of our products and services.
• Technology Advocacy:

o Educate customers, industry partners, and key market players about the benefits of Seagate storage capability and future technology.
o Publish material internally and externally that defines market use cases inclusive of system architecture and workload requirements.
o Understand CSP and server OEM customers’ current and future requirements in cloud and data center storage.
o Datacenter technology scouting and impact analysis, such as storage performance requirements and storage architecture.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as sales, marketing, engineering, and finance, to support business decisions and initiatives.

• External Evangelism:

o Represent Seagate at industry events, consortia, and customer engagements.
o Act as an evangelist for our technology, promoting it to external audiences.
o Deliver authentic content through various communication channels (blogs, webinars, events, etc.)
o Build key relationships with customers, partners, and influencers.

• Internal Evangelism:

o Understand and communicate future customer challenges and how Seagate can solve these challenges to internal teams.
o Define system requirements for our future roadmap based on market trends and customer needs, and advocate for architectural evolution within our company.
o Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, sales, marketing and customer success) to ensure alignment on roadmap, messaging and technology changes

About you:

• The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with excellent communication skills to engage both internal and external stakeholders. You will work closely with marketing, product management, customer success, CSP (Cloud Service Provider) and OEM customers, and industry analysts, as well as our US Cloud Architect, to provide insights and recommendations on the fast-changing storage market in China.

Your experience includes:

• 10+ years' experience with strong technical background with experience in cloud computing, systems architecture, and data workloads. HDD industry background and experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong presentational skills in person and virtual, with expertise in Power Point and Excel.
• Fluent English (speaking and writing).
• Excellent knowledge of financial modeling and data analysis.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change and solve unique customer problems.
• Passionate about technology and innovation. Ability to influence and inspire others.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
