Overview of Role
Our client is seeking a Splicer for their Assembly department. The ideal candidate for this role has previous experience as a Splicer, both Days and Overnights available.

• Monday - Friday, Days (8 am - 4 pm) and Overnights (12 am - 8 am)

Responsibilities

• Manipulating fiber optic cables (& others) to ensure working connectivity
• Testing, calibrating, identifying, and troubleshooting any issues that arise
• Troubleshooting and resolving testing problems
• Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, specifications, work orders, and reports
• Using software such as Smart PRL, Agile, and Excel to document and maintain projects
• Maintain quality and database records

Requirements and Assets

• Fusion splicing &/or mechanical splicing experience needed
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Worked with single-mode fiber and polarization-maintaining optical fiber types
• Hands-on experience with splicing instruments such as fusion splicers, recoaters, strippers, and cleavers
