We serve over 96,000 residents in over 1,600 seniors and other congregate care communities (long-term care homes, retirement homes, assisted living facilities, and group homes). We are a national organization with a large network of pharmacy fulfillment centers strategically located across the country. This allows us to deliver medications in a timely and cost-effective manner and quickly respond to routine changes in medication management. We use best-in-class technology that automates the preparation and verification of multi-dose compliance packaging of medication, providing the highest levels of safety and adherence for individuals with complex medication regimes. Position Summary
Under the direction of the pharmacy management team and supervision of registered pharmacy team members, the pharmacy support staff member is responsible for supporting pharmacy team members to achieve desired pharmacy outcomes.
This position is located in a closed-door pharmacy and requires no patient contact.
Your Day To Day:

Operating PACMed dispensing and PACVision verification machines - Training will be provided
- Re-allocation of medications
- Maintaining and monitoring of pharmacy inventory when required
- Pre-packaging medications when required using Pharmacy medication machinery
- Miscellaneous support functions when required
- Collaborates with all members of the pharmacy team to ensure medication orders are dispensed accurately, safely, timely and completely
- Completes daily tasks in accordance with established workplace policies and procedures
- Consults with members of the pharmacy management and registered pharmacy team when there are unresolved issues surrounding day to day work functions
- Follows all corporate regulations, policies and procedures at all times
- Maintaining strict confidentiality and ethical standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Ability to effectively train/mentor pharmacy team members when required
- Pharmacy Assistant or Pharmacy experience an asset
- Ability to lift up to 4.5 kg (10 lbs) on a regular basis
- Ability to stand for periods of time as needed
- Proven ability to foster strong partnerships with other team members
- Effective organization, planning, and time management skills
