The Finance Manager serves as a trusted business partner in the Pet Nutrition North America organization and provides financial support and leadership as the co-pilot for the end-to-end Supply Chain for the Bolton Petcare site and the Canada Pet Nutrition Market. This role is responsible for the financial performance of the prime material and factory costs by leading the financial governance and reporting, as well as the period close processes and providing transparency on operational efficiency and effectiveness by providing analysis and actionable insights.

What are we looking for?

• Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA a plus).
• 3+ years relevant professional experience in a manufacturing and/or supply chain environment (cost accounting, inventory, capital), preferably within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG).
• Experienced in using SAP, Microsoft Excel and Power BI (a plus).
• Demonstrated ability to work well with management and associates at all levels.
• Must have a high degree of self-direction with the ability to constantly seek innovative ways to perform tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
• Detailed-oriented but can see the bigger picture.
• Financial skills with excellent organization agility, understanding the impacts of decisions on the P&L, with the ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement to deliver sustainable profitable growth for the organization.
• Outstanding interpersonal and analytical skills and 'can-do' attitude with strong influencing & problem solving capabilities; ability to stand alone, challenge the status quo and identify continuous improvement opportunities.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Provide accurate and timely insights and information to the Factory, Supply Chain, and Finance teams in the following capacity:

75% of Role

• Manage all related financial information for the Factory and local Supply Chain, including ownership and accountability for reporting to local and regional partners.
• Support Value Leadership (productivity) activities through site's MSE program to help reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance of internal controls and develop strong financial and governance acumen across the Canadian Supply landscape via internal process review, continuous improvement and change management through necessary functional training.
• Lead the period closing process in SAP and lead processes such as the annual operating plan, periodic forecasting, and strategic planning for production and supply activities.
• Maintain, update, and inform markets of transfer pricing (ICP's) for current and newly launched products.
• Contribute to the culture of accountability and responsibility within Manufacturing and Supply Chain by tracking action plans for key initiatives and addressing root cause issues to drive sustainable operating improvements.

25% of Role

• Provide insight to the business for the creation, development and delivery of the Operating Plan (with specific emphasis on the Interlinkage of supply and its financials).
• Provide financial expertise within the S&OP+ Process and supports the Canada Marketing/Brand teams in Step 3/SCMR. Assist team in assessing the financials for future growth initiatives, understand implications of test and learns from both a financial impact and process perspective.
• Work with the team on continuous improvements to aid in P&L tracking. Co-pilot the i VCP building block on value creation opportunities arising out of Supply Finance.
• Support North America Manufacturing Finance reporting.
• Ad hoc regional requests.
