Construction Project Coordinator

We are looking for a Construction Project Coordinator who has two years experience as a Project Coordinator building wood-frame, apartment-style, multi-family buildings or Townhomes while working for a developer or general contractor. Please only apply if you have this experience.

We are looking for an Construction Project Coordinator to support our Calgary business who is experienced in projects similar to ours, which have concrete parkade and are 6 story wood frame multi-family residential buildings. You will be responsible to create and maintain project momentum while contributing to scheduling, quality control, safety, staff and sub-contractor relationship management. The Project Coordinator is an important part of the Eagle Crest project team, responsible to support overall project requirements, while leading people as effectively as you lead construction activities. Construction Project Coordinator Job Responsibilities
- Provide support to the site team with professionalism
- Maintain high staff morale, model sound leadership and teamwork
- During the pre-construction phase, attend design meetings, continuously evaluate the materials and products being proposed for constructability and feasibility
- Oversee the preparation of estimates for the conceptual, schematics, and design development stages. Initiate and coordinate the full design team efforts in the value engineering processes
- Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines
- Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites
- Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations
- Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients, representing the owner or developer
- Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
- Obtain all necessary permits and licenses
- Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction means and methods
- Solicit, negotiate, select, contract, and oversee subcontractors who complete specific pieces of the project
- Requisition supplies and materials to complete construction projects
- Prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking reports
- Implement quality control programs
- Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site
- Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems
- Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems
- Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out
- Evaluate construction means and methods to determine cost-effectiveness of plans
- During the warranty phase, assist Owner with warranty claims and service
- Perform 1-year walk-through of facility and facilitate 1‐year punch list creation
- Closeout warranty phase
- Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Be an advocate for project team and facilitate availability of services and materials

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
