We are looking for a highly skilled Machine Assembly Technician. This role requires a strong Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical Background. The ideal candidate works with minimal supervision, has excellent problem-solving skills and experience to make good decisions. Ensures accurate and timely assembly of all equipment. Fluently reads technical drawings and instructions in order to accurately complete the job in a timely manner. Works in an industrial environment as part of a team with a strong focus on safety and quality.
Duties
- The primary role for this position is to assemble machines in shop. We produce a wide range of equipment so a high mechanical, hydraulic and electrical aptitude is required to be successful in this role.
- All components are designed to work together as part of one machine, so we rely on a high attention to detail from the smallest simple components to the more involved components.
- The chosen candidate will be involved from pre-assembly of components to a fully working tested product.
- Troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic and electrical and operational readiness of equipment.
- The applicant must be punctual, honest and willing to listen
- Takes ownership of work area and performs housekeeping, organizes work area and manages the storage of materials.
- Safely operate a forklift both inside the shop and outdoors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes, but is not limited to the ability to work overtime as required, being punctual and adhering to administrative work procedures.
- Education and/or Experience: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED); 2 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Millwright experience with welding ability is considered a strong asset.
- Other Requirements: Effectively communicate with co-workers and management regarding work and safety issues.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and production drawings.
- Applicant must be flexible and willing to execute out of scope tasks as the priorities of the job site/shop may change on a day to day basis.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
