Job Title: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
Salary: Starting at:
- Non-ACA $83,057.59 ($39.93per hour based on experience)
- ACA $88,861.02 ($42.72 per hour based on experience)
Location: Calgary, AB
Position Overview:
Reporting to Senior Manager, Maintenance Operations, Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) is a highly skilled, licensed AME – E or M2 with extensive experience, responsible for conducting maintenance safely, ensuring compliance, and maximizing efficiency. The AME is tasked with servicing, troubleshooting, conducting maintenance, repairs, modifications, fabrications, installations, and functional tests on electrical systems and their components
The duties of the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer include:
- Maintain company aircraft by completing maintenance and modification tasks as assigned
- Exercise the privileges of the company-issued ACA
- Complete required paperwork accurately and in compliance with the requirements of the company ACA
- Enter data into Flair’s MRO IT system
- Utilize documentation including AMM, SRM, IPC, SBs, SLs
- Provide support for aircraft discrepancy rectification at our bases
- Report all unserviceable or unsafe conditions and equipment to supervisor
- Compile and assist in reporting Service Difficulty Reports (SDRs)
- Embrace and participate in the company’s Safety Management System (SMS)
- Ensure that all tooling is current and serviceable and that all documentation are up to date
- Ensure that parts used for maintenance have appropriate paperwork/trace
- Maintain good housekeeping of company facilities and equipment. Report any deficiencies
- Provide training and direction to other technicians and learners
- Communicate and liaise with maintenance control regarding aircraft deferrals and status
- Maintain AME M2 license and comply with all training requirements
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:
- High School or GED equivalent
- Hold a valid Transport Canada AME M2 or E license

Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) five (5) years of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer experience is preferred
- Extensive experience with Boeing 737, including NG and/or MAX endorsements
- Experience in the handling of WHMIS-controlled substances
- Hold a valid driver’s license
- Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian Air Regulations (CARs)
- Knowledgeable on computer-based maintenance software, AMOS is considered an asset
- Intermediate level of proficiency using Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and data entry
- Ability to work irregular hours or shift work that may include overnights, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a schedule that varies
- Occasional travel may be required
- Ability to lift heavy objects

Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Driving Airside License (D/A)
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment alcohol and drug screening test
- Clear criminal record check and satisfactory employment references
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without restriction
