Position Requirements
Skills and experience
- Experience teaching VCE Theatre Studies is highly desirable
- A high-level knowledge of subject area
- An ability to teach English is preferred
- Understanding of how students learn, and knowledge of curriculum and programs that enhance that learning
- Demonstrated innovative and creative teaching and learning practices and skills, including the use of appropriate
learning technologies, to enhance student outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to assess and evaluate student learning
- Demonstrated capacity to accommodate different learning styles and mixed ability groups
- Demonstrated ability to develop constructive relationships with students which engender positive attitudes to
learning
teachers
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills when relating to students, parents and other
Qualifications and Employer Requirements
- Appropriate qualifications for teaching in specialized subject area
- Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
- Entitled to live and work in Australia
- Proven track record in the delivery of specialized subject area
- Proven record of regular involvement in professional learning
- A commitment and capacity to contribute to the College’s co-curricular program
