We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic Occupational Therapist to join our team on a shift-work basis. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a flexible environment and is passionate about making a difference in clients' lives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Client Assessments
  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments in home and community settings.
  • Identify client goals, abilities, and challenges to develop tailored intervention plans.
  • Therapeutic Interventions
  • Design and implement therapy programs to improve daily living skills, mobility, and independence.
  • Recommend assistive devices, adaptive equipment, and home modifications to enhance safety and functionality.
  • Team Collaboration
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, and the multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, social workers, and support workers.
  • Provide education and training to clients and caregivers on therapy techniques and equipment use.
  • Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments, progress notes, and care plans.
  • Prepare reports for funding bodies, such as NDIS or aged care agencies, as required.
  • Shift Work Responsibilities
  • Adapt to flexible working hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
  • Provide timely responses to urgent client needs during shifts.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance
  • Adhere to company policies, relevant legislation, and professional standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to ensure best practices in occupational therapy.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in occupational therapy, preferably in aged care, disability, or community health settings.
  • Current driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
