The Role
This role reports to our Senior Accountant and is supported by a team of finance professionals. You will build on your current finance skills and put your academic learnings into practice. As a Graduate Accountant, you will build your capacities and support the team by assisting with a range of accounting functions, including accounts, reconciliations and month-end processes.
Specific duties you may be assigned include:

• Assisting with monthly and statutory financial reporting including board reports, profit & loss and balance sheets
• Assisting with reporting on KPI’s such as contract revenue, labour management, fuel analysis and associated variance analysis.
• Providing support to the accounts payable and receivable processes
• Reconciling accounts and maintaining general ledger integrity
• Assisting with financial planning and analysis including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Collaborating and partnering with various departments to support financial operations

About You:
We are looking for a recent Finance or Accounting Graduate who is ambitious and focused on gain exposure across different aspects of the finance and accounting functions. This role will suit someone who is eager to learn with the ability to in a diverse team in a fast- paced environment.
The successful applicant will require

• A tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Accounting or similar
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to capture data accurately and think analytically
• Solid understanding of general accounting practices, including accounts payable and receivable
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fantastic problem solving abilities with a proactive and solution-focused mindset
• Self-drive and adaptability and be able to manage time effectively.
• Professionalism with approachability, with strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with other employees in the business
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges while retaining a sense of professionalism and humour
