About Role
We are seeking a qualified, skilled, and experienced Electrician to join our dynamic team.

• The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the aesthetic and functional quality of our construction project.
• This role involves working on a commercial project (a hotel being renovated on Lindemann Island).
• You are expected to provide exceptional electrician services that meet our stringent quality standards.

Please note:
This role is being offered as full-time employee.
The Work location is Lindemann Island, not Airlie beach. We cover travel from Airlie Beach to Lindeman
The Salary/Pay range is $50-55 per hour on a full-time contract or $55 - $60 per hour on ABN Contract.
Information about project

• If you get selected for this role, you would be working in a team on the project of renovation of a hotel on Lindeman Island.
• Lindeman island is near Airlie beach in Queensland and is accessible by boat.
• The project is ongoing right now.
• This hotel has not currently been functional for a few years and is the only hotel on the island.
• This exciting project is to remodel the hotel so it can become the next No #1 holiday destination for holiday goers.

Benefits and perks

• Food and accommodation will be provided to you as you will be required to stay on Lindeman Island.
• Designated rooms have been set aside for our working teams in the same hotel, which will most likely be shared accommodation with others from the project team.
• Food will be provided three times a day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well.
• The travel from Airlie beach to Lindeman Island will also be provided via boat but it will be planned trips to drop workers off on the island at scheduled periods only.

The perks included with this project mean you will also save money on accommodation and food!
You'll have weekends off every two weeks in Airlie Beach (if you'd like to take the days off; otherwise, you can stay on the island). The project is expected to last around 8 months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in commercial buildings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine electrical requirements.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
• Ensure that all electrical installations comply with Australian standards and regulations.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes.
• Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols.

To be successful you will need:

• Valid Electrical License in Australia.
• Proven experience as an Electrician in commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid White Card (construction induction training).
• Additional certifications or training in specialized electrical systems are a plus.
• Great work ethic, well presented, reliable, honest & pro-active attitude.
