QA Engineer Manual and Automation for Mobile Apps

About the Role: As a Senior QA at One Seven, you will be an integral part of our growing QA team, testing web and mobile apps simultaneously through both manual and automated testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches, documenting them in our ticketing system Click Up, setting up test automations for web and mobile apps.

Responsibilities:

• Develop/write and execute test cases, track bugs, execute scripts, plans, and procedures for mobile apps (manual and automated).
• Research and find AI tools that can help QA team do the job faster and better, while minimizing manual repeatable work that can be done by AI.
• Collaborate with the project team to understand product changes and QA testing requirements to deal with issues/defects in a timely manner.
• Participate in all aspects of testing, including functional, unit and integration testing.
• Work closely with the development team to ensure that all aspects of the system have proper testing coverage and overall system reliability, performance, and quality.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for mobile applications
• Collaborate with product teams and project managers to define and prioritize test scenarios
• Document automated processes comprehensively, covering test plans, test procedures, and test cases.
• Analyze test results and identify areas of improvement

Required Qualifications:

• Intermediate English level (important)
• 4+ years of experience working in QA positions
• Experience with test automation platforms, systems, and tools (Playwright preferred, Cypress, Postman)
• Experience with mobile testing tools Appium
• Experience with Java Script frameworks for writing unit and integration tests Jest, Mocha
• Experience with Dev Ops tools Github Actions
• Experience with source control systems Git Hub
• Experience with automation mobile API testing
• Strong mentoring skills and leadership skills
• Ability to quickly adapt, learn, and solve problems
• Team player, willing to jump outside of their role to help the greater team.
• Ability to research as you work
• Ability to be accountable for your own time in a fully remote environment

• Agile + Scrum Methodology knowledge

Nice to Have Qualifications:

• Experience with test automation platforms, systems, and tools (JMeter,, K6, etc.)
• Experience with Dev Ops tools (Jenkins, etc.)
• Experience with source control systems (Git, Git Lab, etc.)
• Knowledge of bug tracking and issue management tools (Click-Up, Jira, Linear, etc.)
• Experience with test case management tools is a plus (Test Rail, Test Lodge, Qase, etc.)
• Having an ISTQB Certificate is a plus.
• The ability to write, read, and understand code (Python, Typescript, Javascript, SQL, and others).
• Experience with Pen Testing & Load Testing
• Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms (e.g. Sauce Labs, Browser Stack, etc.)
• Experience with test automation frameworks for Node.js, React, and React Native application

Benefits/Compensation:

• Fully Remote Position
• Contract-based employment
• Starting at $3,500 - $4,500 depending on qualifications and experience

• Fixed working hours 9am-5pm EST time. Monday-Friday
