We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Registered Dietitian (RD) to join our team. The RD will provide high-quality nutrition training (classroom and shipboard) and nutritional analysis to maintain and increase the professional knowledge and skills of Civilian Mariners (CIVMARs). The RD will provide support to certified executive chefs in maintaining a cycle menu through recipe testing/development/analysis and will assist with menu and curriculum updates on an ongoing basis.
Minimum qualifications (required):
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Dietetics.
- Currently registered, and in good standing, with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as a Dietitian.
- Five (5) years of documented experience in Food Service administration and clinical experience.
- Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate with personnel, ashore and afloat, and other Government or commercial personnel or agencies via email using correct grammar and clear and coherent sentence structure.
- Documented experiences utilizing nutritional analysis software when evaluating all recipes, and familiar with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) federal laws related to food, nutrition, and dietary health.
- Demonstrated ability to instruct personnel on nutrition and food related health issues.
- Demonstrated ability to instruct personnel in various settings, e.g., shipboard, classroom, kitchens, etc.
- Ability to learn and operate the MSC CMLS FS Software for entering and maintaining recipes, menus, nutritional analysis, and uploading photos.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% to conduct training in classrooms, galleys, or onboard ships.
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
