Patient Service Representative - Gastroenterology - (2401445)

What You’ll Do:

Manage front desk operations, including greeting and registering patients.
Process daily charge tickets and maintain provider schedules.
Verify patient information, including demographics and insurance status.
Handle incoming calls, take messages, and address patient inquiries.
Document interactions accurately in patient charts and assist with referrals.
Collect payments and support patient discharge procedures.
Organize and maintain patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist in training new employees on office functions and best practices.

What You’ll Bring:

High school diploma or equivalent.
2-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting with clerical and administrative responsibilities.
Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities.
Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and staff.
Familiarity with medical billing, coding (ICD-9, CPT), and insurance procedures.
Proficiency in computer operations and basic math skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
