Our client, a well-established and highly active Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation firm in Concord, CA, is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to provide comprehensive litigation support. This is a contract-to-hire position, ideal for candidates with strong civil litigation experience who are comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation and formatting of litigation documents, including motions, pleadings, Proofs of Service, TOCs, and TOAs.
Perform e-filing with California state courts and ensure all filings meet strict court requirements.
Organize and maintain case files, including discovery documents, correspondence, and trial materials.
Calendar deadlines, schedule hearings, and coordinate depositions and trial logistics.
Assist with discovery processes, including organizing responses and indexing exhibits.
Provide trial support by preparing binders, managing exhibits, and coordinating with trial teams.
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff regarding case matters.

Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary in a civil litigation environment.
Proficiency in e-filing with California state courts and knowledge of litigation procedures.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat.
Experience supporting litigation-heavy practices, preferably in plaintiff personal injury.
Availability to work on-site in Concord, CA, five days a week.
