Job Summary:

This position will provide a wide variety of program support to the Soil and Forage Analysis Laboratory at WSLH. Primary responsibilities include preparing plants and manure for analysis, analyzing forage samples by NIR and include entering and verifying sample information in the lab system, as well as various office tasks. This position will be the primary operator of the forage and manure sample preparation processes.

Responsibilities:

Works with environmental scientists and others to identify, assess, treat, and correct environmental problems.

• 10% May collect, document, and transport environmental samples
• 10% May investigate complaints as directed
• 20% Keeps detailed records and assesses test data to maintain highest quality of service and performance
• 20% Prepares equipment and samples for laboratory tests
• 10% Ensures equipment is properly calibrated and maintained according to professional standards and conduct tests
• 5% Communicates results, feedback, or suggestions; and discusses trends, procedural questions, and concerns
• 15% Conducts tests
• 10% Accepts and records payment for services using lab information system, credit card machine
