Job Title: Repair Center Manager
Location: Istanbul, Turkey
Grade: 10
As a Repair Center Manager, you should be:
- Able to work in a high pace environment
- Technically oriented and able to read repair instructions and explain to the staff
- Manage staff and operation of the repair center
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary role of position is to manage repair center staff and day to day operation activities
- Assign tasks and adjust workload among staff based on field priorities
- Monitor daily productivity and create productivity reports to share with management
- Work with the Logistics and Parts Planning teams to deliver defectives and spare parts as required
- Ensure smooth flow of production using a high degree of organization, expertise, and problem-solving skills.
- Required to produce a high-quality repair to meet NCR Quality Key Performance Indices
- Required to repair systems, modules, and assemblies by following written instructions
- Focus on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of repair center processes.
- Function as a team leader that aids and guides technicians during repair and diagnostic solutions.
- Comply with Repair Center policies, ESD requirements, processes, and workmanship standards.
- Efficiently use skills, tools, diagnostic and test equipment to perform rework or repair procedures.
- Prepare estimates of time and material required to refurbish, reconfigure, rework or repair assemblies, subassemblies, and equipment.
- Manage and drive continuous improvement related activities including 5S and Lean initiatives
- Acquire additional training when necessary to meet changing business requirements.
- Assist staff to perform periodic preventive maintenance and make necessary repairs on test fixtures.
- Make routine adjustments to work area machines or systems.
- Available/On-call occasionally on weekends
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in mechanical or hardware engineering or related discipline.
- 3-5 years of related experience in manufacturing or repair center operations.
- People management experience is preferred.
- Good English reading, writing and oral communication skills
- Ability to collect necessary data, can identify problems and determine efficient and effective solutions.
- Good skills using Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to communicate with management and local field supervisors
- Experience with Lean, 5S, Six Sigma (Yellow/Green/Black Belt Certification a plus)
